Welcome Aboard
Gaia is a boat that celebrates our rivers and floating communities. Using recycled and natural materials throughout - including a bespoke pizza oven - Gaia's award-winning design showcases renewable technologies to create a community hub for the River Roding Trust and their wider restoration work.
We're also the home of SEADS UK where arts, science and technology meet in participatory projects.
WATERWAY RESTORATION
Acting as the hub for this boater-led revival of London's 3rd biggest river, we've helped co-found the pioneering River Roding Trust
ECOLOGICAL INTERVENTION
Together with Thames21 & our local partners we've supported litter-picking, tree-planting and ecological intervention events
CLAY WOOD-FIRED PIZZA OVEN
Built by volunteers in collaboration with Cob in the Community - our natural cob pizza oven on a boat is a world first!
NATURAL BUILDING EVENTS
